Add accounts and posts
You add an account by pasting its public link. OrganicDeck never asks you to sign in to TikTok, Instagram or any other platform, and the account doesn't have to be yours. Your own accounts, your creators and the competitors you learn from all go in the same list.
Add accounts
- In Accounts, press Add accounts.
- Paste profile links, one per line. You can paste many at once, and links separated by commas each get their own line.
- Check what each line will do, in the column beside it. For an account, choose how many of its newest posts stay in tracking.
- Choose a group, or create one with + New group.
- Press the add button. It says what goes in, for example Add 3 accounts and 2 posts.
A username alone isn't accepted. OrganicDeck needs the link to know which platform the account is on, for example tiktok.com/@yourapp or instagram.com/yourapp.
Add single posts
You can also paste the link of a post, including the short links the apps share. If your project doesn't measure that account whole, the account is added as followed by its posts. Only the posts you pasted are measured and count in your metrics.
This works for a creator you pay for a few posts, or for one post you want to watch.
- An account followed by its posts has no usual views, so its posts have no virality factor.
- To add more of its posts, paste their links in Add accounts again.
- To measure the whole account, paste its profile link. From then on, all its posts count.
- X and Snapchat accounts are always followed by their posts. See What each platform gives you.
What each line says
Before you add anything, the column beside the box says what will happen with each line:
- 100 posts, or another number: an account measured whole. Press it to choose how many of its newest posts stay in tracking. All posts keeps every one.
- Only this post: a post that will be measured on its own.
- Only this post · already measured: a post OrganicDeck measured a short while ago. It's added without measuring it again.
- Already counts in your metrics: a post of an account your project already measures whole.
- Already in your project: an account you already follow.
- Duplicate: the same link appears twice in the box.
- Paste its post links instead: an X or Snapchat profile.
- Invalid entry: the line isn't a profile or post link OrganicDeck can read.
- Over your plan's videos, Over this month's new videos or Over your plan's posts by link: the line doesn't fit in your plan. See When something doesn't fit.
Nothing is added from a line in gray. If an account shows Being imported after you add it, it was already being imported at that moment. Try again in a few minutes.
Posts in tracking
OrganicDeck keeps each account's newest posts in tracking and measures them on your plan's schedule. You choose how many: 10, 30, 60, 100, 200, 500 or all of them. The project's default is marked Default. Older posts keep their last measurement and stay in your history.
You can change an account's number later from the In tracking column in Accounts, and the project's default in Settings → Measurements.
Each account measured whole takes at least 10 of your plan's videos, even if it has fewer posts. An account followed by its posts takes one video for each of its posts.
After you add
New accounts show up in Accounts as Importing while their first measurement brings in their posts. After that, each one is measured on your plan's schedule.
A post added by link is measured on this schedule, counting from the day it was published:
- In every measurement of your plan for its first 30 days.
- Every 2 days until day 60.
- Once a week until day 90.
- After day 90 it keeps its last measurement and no longer takes a place in your plan.
A post published more than 90 days ago is measured once, when you add it. If a post disappears from its platform, OrganicDeck stops measuring it and frees its place.
When something doesn't fit
Accounts have no limit of their own. What limits them is your plan's videos. A line can stop for one of these reasons:
- Over your plan's videos: the accounts and posts you follow would take more videos than your plan has.
- Over this month's new videos: adding accounts, pasting posts and keeping more posts per account bring in new posts, and each month has a limit on them. Deleting an account doesn't give them back. The limit renews on the 1st.
- Over your plan's posts by link: posts added by link can take up only part of your plan's videos.
When you reach a limit, OrganicDeck shows what ran out, when it renews and what the next plan includes. Everything you already follow is still measured. See Plans and billing.
