Write a slideshow

Slideshows writes the text of a photo slideshow in the format of a reference, a post or an account you like, and about your product. You get three hooks to choose from and the slides, each with a heading and a text.

It writes text only. The photos come from your Pinterest boards and uploads, and the design from the reference or from a template.

Start a slideshow

  1. Open Slideshows in the sidebar and press New slideshow.
  2. Add a reference. Paste a link, or pick an account or posts of your project.
  3. Under For (optional), choose the account you're writing for, or leave it empty.
  4. If you want, write a topic or instructions in Topic or instructions (optional).
  5. At the bottom of the form, choose the image boards and, if your project has templates, the design.
  6. Press Write.

While it works, the draft says what it's doing, like Reading the posts that took off or Writing the slides. Stop cancels it.

You can also start from other screens. In the Hooks tab of the Overview, Slideshow opens a new slideshow with that way of opening as the reference. When you ask Intelligence for a post, its answer offers Write it in Slideshows with the account, the reference and the topic filled in. Nothing is written until you press Write.

The reference

The reference sets the whole format: how many slides, what each one does, how much text it carries and how it's written, how the hook opens and where the product goes. A line above the draft sums up the format it took, like "7 slides · numbered list, one habit per slide, the app on the second-to-last slide".

A reference can be:

  • A link to any TikTok or Instagram post or account, even one your project doesn't follow. Nothing from it is added to your accounts.
  • Up to 5 posts of your project. Type to search them, or use Search among all posts to filter by account and date.
  • An account of your project. The format comes from its posts that took off.
  • A way of opening, from the Hooks tab.
  • A link to a post or an account open in OrganicDeck, or one copied with Copy link.

Links to YouTube, Facebook, X or Snapchat can't be a reference.

If the reference hasn't been read yet, OrganicDeck reads it before writing, and that uses reads from your plan. If it can't read it, the slideshow fails and says why instead of writing without it.

You need a reference, an account under For, or both. With only an account, the format comes from that account's posts that took off.

For and topic

For is the account the slideshow is for. It brings the account's language, the way it names your product and its posts that took off. Without an account, OrganicDeck writes about the product in your project description, in the reference's language.

Topic or instructions is optional. It takes a topic, instructions or both:

  • A topic says what the slideshow is about. Without one, OrganicDeck takes the topic from a post that took off in your accounts and tells you which one.
  • Instructions, like "shorter, 5 slides, name the app on slide 3", win over the reference's format, including the number of slides.
  • Instructions don't allow copying. If a line repeats five words in a row from a post it learned from, OrganicDeck rewrites it.
  • The language you type in doesn't change the slideshow's. To change it, ask for it, for example "in Spanish".

What you get

  • Hook: three hooks for slide 1. With a reference, all three keep its frame. The number and the fixed words stay, and what the hook promises changes. Choosing another one only changes slide 1.
  • The slides, each with a heading and a text, under Text. Click a line to edit it.
  • Lines that say how the chosen hook opens and how that way of opening does against the usual in your accounts, and which posts the topic came from, with their virality factor.
  • Posts it learned from: the reference and the posts it took something from. Click one to open it.

Above all this, the slides show large with their images and design. See Design editor and templates.

Choosing another hook and editing the text by hand are free.

Ask for a change and copy

Type what you want in Ask for a change at the bottom, like "longer" or "slide 3 more serious", and press Apply. OrganicDeck rewrites the draft, keeps what you didn't ask to change and marks the slides it touched with Changed. The images and the design stay as they are.

The panel beside the slides has Copy text, with every slide numbered, and Copy JSON, a list with each slide's heading, text and image links. Each slide also has its own copy button. To send the slides to TikTok, see Send to TikTok.

Your slideshows

The Slideshows list on the left has every slideshow in the project, newest first, with who wrote it. Everyone in the project sees them.

  • A slideshow is named after its chosen hook. Rename, in its menu, gives it a name of its own. Clearing the name goes back to the hook.
  • Anyone in the project can delete any slideshow.
  • When more than one person writes, a filter beside the list shows All, Mine or one person.
  • Images, at the top of the list, opens the project's boards.

Slideshows in your plan

Each Write and each change asked in words uses one of your plan's slideshows for the month. They renew on the 1st. A run that fails doesn't count, and deleting a slideshow doesn't give one back.

Choosing a hook, editing by hand, the images, the editor, downloading and sending to TikTok are free.

When 10% or less is left, the form says how many you have. How many each plan includes is on the pricing page and in Settings → Plan. See Plans and billing.
