Radar

Radar shows the posts that took off in the accounts of your project, from the most recently published. It's where you check what worked lately, in your accounts and in the ones you follow as references, without going through every post.

It has two tabs: What's new, the feed, and Saved, the ideas your team keeps.

When a post takes off

A post takes off when a measurement finds it at or above the virality factor you chose. The virality factor is a post's views over its account's median views. At 2×, a post with twice its account's usual views is in the feed.

  • An account needs at least 5 measured posts before Radar judges its posts. Until then, Radar says it's waiting for measurements.
  • An account you follow only through posts added by link has no usual views, so its posts don't show in Radar.
  • The feed holds posts published up to 90 days before their first measurement. Older hits, found when you add an account, are history. You'll find them in Posts.
  • Posts out of your metrics, left out by hand or by an account's rule, don't show. See Posts.

Read the feed

Posts are ordered by the day they were published, newest first. The label of each day (Today, Yesterday or its date, with how many posts) sits over that day's first post.

Each card shows the post, its virality factor and its figures. Under them it can have these notes:

  • Why it took off: one or two sentences on what the post did differently from its account's usual posts, once OrganicDeck has read it.
  • The views it gained in the last 7 days, or since it was published if it's newer.
  • Still gaining views, on posts published less than 3 days ago.
  • First measurement, when the post already had this virality factor the first time it was measured, so there's no telling when it took off.
  • Pinned, when the account pinned it on its profile.
  • The group of its account.
  • New, on posts that took off since your last visit.

Click a card to open the post's detail, or its platform icon to open it on that platform.

What's new since your last visit

Radar remembers when you last opened it. Posts that took off after that carry New, and the line above the feed says how many there are. The number beside Radar in the sidebar is the same count, so you can see there's news before opening it.

A post only counts as new if it took off within 7 days of being published. An old hit that turns up in an account's first measurement goes into the feed without New.

Each person has their own last visit. Opening Radar doesn't clear the news for the rest of your team.

Filter the feed

  • Accounts picks which groups and accounts the feed reads. It starts with every account and is separate from the selection of your Overview. It isn't saved: the next time you open OrganicDeck, Radar reads every account again.
  • Virality factor sets the bar at 2×, 5× or 10× or more. The higher the bar, the fewer posts make it.
  • Copy link passes the feed, with these filters, to someone in your project.

Save ideas

Any post can become an idea, whether it took off or not.

  1. Press the bookmark on a post, in What's new or in Posts. The post is saved, and the message that confirms it offers Add a note.
  2. In the post's detail, write a note and tags separated by commas, then press Save changes. A post that isn't saved yet can be saved from its detail with Save idea.
  3. To drop an idea, press the bookmark again, or Remove from saved in the detail.

Saved lists the ideas of the whole project, with their note, their tags and who saved them. Filter them by tag or by who saved them. Everyone in the project sees the same ideas.
