What each platform gives you

OrganicDeck follows accounts on six platforms, all in the same list, each with its platform's icon. Each platform shows different things in public, so the counts, and what OrganicDeck can do with a post, change from one to another.

Whole accounts or posts by link

  • TikTok and Instagram: whole accounts or single posts.
  • YouTube: from a channel, OrganicDeck measures only its Shorts, never its long videos. A long video you paste by link is measured.
  • Facebook: from a page or profile, OrganicDeck measures only its Reels. A post you paste by link is measured too.
  • X and Snapchat: only by the links of their posts. OrganicDeck can't list an account's posts on these platforms, so you paste the ones you want to follow.

How to paste each kind of link is in Add accounts and posts.

Which counts each platform shows

OrganicDeck shows the counts each platform publishes. A count the platform doesn't publish shows as no data. OrganicDeck never reads it as zero.

  • TikTok: views, likes, comments, shares and saves.
  • Instagram: views, likes and comments. Views are Instagram's own plays. When an account hides its likes, they show as no data.
  • YouTube: views, likes and comments.
  • Facebook: views of Reels, rounded the way Facebook shows them. Likes, comments and shares arrive only for a post you paste by link, and likes count every reaction.
  • X: views, likes, replies as comments, reposts and quotes as shares, and bookmarks as saves.
  • Snapchat: views, comments and shares.

Engagement adds up likes, comments, shares and saves and divides them by views, with the counts each platform publishes. A post needs its likes and its comments measured to have an engagement figure.

Virality factor

A post's virality factor is its views over the median views of its account. It needs views, and an account with at least 5 measured posts.

  • Instagram carousels and photos don't show views in public. They're measured by likes and comments and have no virality factor.
  • Accounts followed by their posts have no usual views, so their posts have no virality factor either.

Sounds and collabs

Sound. OrganicDeck knows the song or original audio of every TikTok post. On Instagram, it knows it only for posts you add by link. You see it in the post's details and in the CSV, and you can ask Intelligence to compare posts by sound.

Collabs. A collab post on Instagram or TikTok belongs to the account that published it. It shows up once, under that account, and not again under the co-author.

Watching and reading videos

In a post's details, Play loads the video in its platform's own player. It works for TikTok, Instagram, YouTube and Facebook videos. X and Snapchat have no player OrganicDeck can open. OrganicDeck never stores the video.

Intelligence reads slideshows, and videos up to three minutes long from TikTok, Instagram and YouTube. It doesn't read videos from Facebook, X or Snapchat yet. See How OrganicDeck reads posts.

Followers

Follower counts come from each profile's latest measurement. They can differ from what the platform shows at a given moment.
