Set up your first project
OrganicDeck organizes your work in projects. Each project has its own accounts, plan and members. This article covers signing in, the three setup steps and where everything is once you're in.
OrganicDeck has no passwords. You sign in with your email and a 6-digit code we send to it.
- Open app.organicdeck.com and type your email.
- Press Send code. The code arrives in a few seconds. If you don't see it, check your spam folder.
- Type the 6-digit code and press Sign in.
To get an account, request access on organicdeck.com or ask a project's owner to add you. When an owner adds you, you get an email with a link that opens the sign-in with your address already typed.
Your projects
The project menu at the top of the sidebar lists the projects you're in. Choose one to switch to it. Each project has its own accounts, Radar and settings. To start another project, write to [email protected].
The three setup steps
The first time anyone opens a new project, it opens on its setup. Until the setup is done, the sidebar shows only the project menu and the gear, whose menu only signs you out.
- Project. Paste your website or your App Store or Google Play link and press Generate description, or choose Write it myself. Review the description and press Save and continue. Intelligence and Slideshows use it to know what your product is. You can skip this step.
- Accounts. Paste the links of the accounts or posts you want to follow, one per line. You can skip this step and add them later from Accounts.
- Plan. Choose a plan, then press Start free trial or Continue to payment. If your project already has a plan, you see it here with Get started.
Only the project's owners can change the website and the description, and only they can choose a plan. A member can go through the steps without changing them.
Nothing is imported or measured before the plan is active. The accounts you chose in the second step wait, and they're added as soon as the trial starts or the payment goes through.
What happens after you start
- Your accounts show up in Accounts as Importing while their first measurement brings in their newest posts.
- From then on, each account is measured on your plan's schedule. You don't need to refresh anything.
- OrganicDeck reads the posts that took off first, so Intelligence can answer the same day. While it reads, the sidebar shows Reading posts with its progress.
- Radar shows an account's posts that took off once the account has at least 5 measured posts.
To follow more accounts later, see Add accounts and posts.
Find your way around
The sidebar takes you to each part of OrganicDeck:
- Overview: the figures of the accounts you choose, with Hooks and Patterns in their own tabs. See Overview.
- Radar: the posts that took off, newest first, and the ideas your team saved. See Radar.
- Intelligence: answers to your questions about your posts, built on your measurements. See Intelligence.
- Slideshows: drafts of slideshows in the format of a post you choose. See Slideshows.
- Accounts: every account the project follows. See Accounts.
- Posts: every post, to search, sort and export. See Posts.
At the bottom, the plan meter shows the videos and reads you've used and opens Settings → Plan. The gear opens Settings, where you find the project, its plan, measurements and members, and your language. The ? button next to the gear opens this documentation and lets you write to support.
