Send to TikTok
When a slideshow is ready, Send to TikTok sends its slides to a TikTok account's inbox as a draft. You add a sound and post it from the TikTok app on your phone. OrganicDeck never posts for you, and nothing goes to TikTok until someone presses the button.
Connect a TikTok account
- Open a slideshow. The panel beside the slides has the TikTok account, the title, the description and the send button.
- Press Connect TikTok, or Connect another account in the account menu.
- TikTok shows its authorization screen, so you can check which account you're connecting. Sign in with it and allow access.
- Back in OrganicDeck, the panel shows the account.
- Each account connects once per project. Anyone in the project can connect accounts and send.
- Connecting is only for sending drafts. Your accounts are still measured from their public links, without signing in. See Add accounts and posts.
Send a slideshow
- Choose the account under TikTok account. If the slideshow's For account is connected, it's already chosen.
- Check the Title and the Description. They come filled in from the account's last slideshow, and they follow the account you choose until you edit them.
- Press Send to TikTok. OrganicDeck draws the slides as the download does and uploads them.
- On your phone, open the draft from the TikTok inbox, add a sound and post it.
The title and the description come from the posts your project measures. An account your project doesn't follow starts with them empty. TikTok takes a title of up to 90 characters and a description of up to 4,000.
Follow a send
Below the buttons, the panel lists the slideshow's last sends with their status:
- Uploading: the slides are going up.
- On its way: TikTok is taking them.
- In the inbox: the draft is in the account's TikTok inbox.
- Didn't arrive: TikTok didn't take it. The panel says why.
When TikTok doesn't take it
- TikTok takes 5 drafts a day for each account. Deleting them in TikTok doesn't free a spot. Posting one of them does, or waiting a day from the oldest of those five. The message says how long to wait.
- A send takes up to 35 slides.
- If TikTok asks for it, update the TikTok app on the phone where the account is signed in, then send it again.
- TikTok sometimes stops an account from posting for a while. The message says so.
- For anything else, try again in a few minutes.
Disconnect an account
In the account menu, Disconnect removes the connection from the project. Whoever connected the account, or a project owner, can disconnect it.
If TikTok ends the connection on its side, the account shows Disconnected from TikTok and the button changes to Connect again.
What OrganicDeck keeps
OrganicDeck asks TikTok for the account's basic profile, to show which account it is, and for permission to upload drafts. It keeps the connection encrypted and uses it only when someone presses Send to TikTok. The slide images stay on OrganicDeck until TikTok takes them, a day at most.
