Projects and settings

Everything in OrganicDeck lives in a project: its accounts, its Radar, its plan and the people who work on it. Settings is where you change how the project is set up, and your own preferences.

What a project is

A project has its own accounts and groups, posts, Radar, Intelligence conversations, slideshows and plan. Nothing you add to one project shows up in another.

  • Each project has one plan and its own billing. See Plans and billing.
  • Everyone in a project sees the same accounts and posts. Each person keeps their own selection in the Overview.
  • If you work for several clients, a project per client keeps their accounts, plans and people apart.

Switch projects

The project picker is at the top of the sidebar, under the OrganicDeck logo. Press it to see the projects you belong to, and choose one to open it. The same menu has Project settings, which opens Settings.

A link that a teammate copied opens in the project it belongs to, as long as you're a member of that project.

To start another project, write to [email protected].

A new project's setup

The first time someone enters a new project, it opens on its setup, whatever address they came from. The setup has three steps:

  1. Project: your website or your App Store or Google Play link, and a description of what you offer. OrganicDeck can draft the description from the link. You can skip this step.
  2. Accounts: the links of the accounts or posts you want to follow, one per line. You can skip this step too.
  3. Plan: choose a plan and start the free trial or pay. Nothing is added or measured before this step.

When the plan starts, the accounts from the second step are added and start measuring. Only owners can change the website and description or choose the plan. Getting started covers the first day.

Settings

Open Settings with the gear at the bottom of the sidebar, beside your name. It has five tabs:

  • Project: the project's website, description and logo.
  • Plan: what the plan keeps in tracking, what's left this month, extras and billing. See Plans and billing.
  • Measurements: how many posts of each account stay in tracking, and the history of measurements.
  • Members: who works in the project and their role. See Members and roles.
  • Your account: your language and your session.

Project

Intelligence and Slideshows read the project's description to tie their answers and drafts to your product. Say what you offer, who it's for and what problem it solves.

  • Generate description drafts it from your website or store link. Read it and change what doesn't fit before you save it. You can also write it yourself.
  • The logo shows beside the project's name in the sidebar and on the reports you share. It can be a PNG, JPG or WebP file of up to 1 MB.
  • Only owners can change the website, the description and the logo. Members can see them.

Measurements

Posts per account sets how many of each account's newest posts stay in tracking: the newest 10, 30, 60, 100, 200 or 500, or all its posts. Older posts keep their last measurement and stay in your data.

  • This is the project's default. An account can have a value of its own, which you change from the In tracking column in Accounts. The line under the setting says how many accounts have their own value.
  • Keeping more posts per account reads the missing posts right away. They have to fit in your plan's videos and in this month's new videos. If they don't, OrganicDeck tells you and nothing changes.
  • Measurement history lists every update of your accounts, newest first.

Your account

  • Language switches OrganicDeck between English and Spanish. It's saved to your account, so it applies on any browser you sign in from.
  • Session signs you out of this browser only. Other browsers stay signed in. The next time you open OrganicDeck here, it sends a new code to your email.
